Remember Redman's House From 'MTV Cribs'? He Still Lives There

"That's what the hell I live in."

Remember Redman's classic MTV Cribs episode in 2001? You know, the one where one of the greatest MCs of all-time allowed MTV cameras inside his super modest two-bed, two-bath spot in Staten Island, New York. Well, as it turns out, 16 years later, Redman still calls that spot home.

"That's what the hell I live in," Redman told Laura Stylez when the Ebro In The Morning show host asked the rapper what happened to his world-famous pad.

When Ebro follows up Laura's question by asking Red if he's upgraded his spot and added a housekeeper, the 47-year-old rapper candidly replies, "I can't even fit four or five people in there without it being crowded. It's real small, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, though, and it's only one way in and one way out. No back door. That's it."

During a 2015 interview with VladTV, Redman was asked if the house featured in his episode was, in fact, his home, since the show was known for only highlighting the most lavish of cribs. "They wanted me to rent a house, so I could open the big double doors and say, 'Look at my shit,'" Redman explained. "And, my mother would have told me, ‘You know goddamn well that wasn’t your house.'"

Redman's forever-delayed Muddy Waters 2 album still doesn't have a release date, but whenever it drops, expect the veteran MC to tour the project until he's 65.
