In hip-hop terms, "coming soon" could mean that the joint effort is still weeks, months or even years away, but in an early morning tweet on Sunday (June 11), Quavo revealed that the project is "almost done."
Not only is Quavo currently dominating Billboard by simultaneously appearing on 10 songs on the Hot 100, he's currently the third-most streamed artist on Spotify—his 12.5M daily streams are behind only Justin Bieber (17.9M) and Daddy Yankee (12.9M). Travis isn't exactly a chump when it comes to streaming, either. The Houston native is earning 5.3M daily streams on Spotify, which is good for No. 12 (ahead of Chance The Rapper and Future).
While Quavo has been busy dominating the guest feature circuit with appearances on hit singles by DJ Khaled ("I'm The One") and Post Malone ("Congratulations"), among others, Travis Scott is fresh off the release of three loosie promotional records, one of which ("Butterfly Effect") has taken off on Spotify's RapCaviar playlist.
Needless to say, a Quavo and Travis union is big news. If it sounds anything like their past work together—which includes Days Before Rodeo collab "Sloppy Toppy," Rodeo's "Oh My Dis Side," BITTSM smash "Pick Up The Phone" with Young Thug, The Fate of the Furious Soundtrack addition "Go Off" with Lil Uzi Vert and More Life hit "Portland"—fans will be in for a real treat.
