In an era where most songs have a shelf life under 24 hours, GoldLink's hit single "Crew" continues to crush.

On Wednesday (May 2), the DMV rapper's GRAMMY-nominated single, assisted by Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy, was certified double-Platinum by the RIAA.

"Crew," initially released on December 16, 2016, earned Platinum status, a designation given to an album or single that has sold an equivalent of one million certified units, on September 27, 2017.

"We explained to [the label] what was happening [with the record] and that it was a possible shot for this kid we believed in," said Derrick Aroh, A&R Director at RCA Records, during his recent interview with DJBooth, recounting the song's hit potential.

To date, "Crew" has racked up 111 million streams on Spotify and 70 million video views on YouTube. It is GoldLink's highest-charting single, peaking at No. 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 2017, and also reached No. 1 at urban radio.
