Tyler, The Creator is the gift that keeps on giving.
It's been more than a year since the Odd Future co-founder released his GRAMMY-nominated album Flower Boy, but over the past 14 months, Tyler has kept fans satiated with a smattering of loosies, demos, and freestyles on his YouTube channel.
On Wednesday, the 27-year-old multi-talent added "major motion picture soundtrack artist" to his resume, sharing the official trailer for Illumination and Universal Pictures upcoming animated film, The Grinch, based on Dr. Seuss’ beloved holiday classic.
As a disciple of Pharrell Williams, whose major motion picture soundtrack resume includes the Despicable Me franchise (for which Williams' famously created his GRAMMY-winning No. 1 single "Happy"), it should come as no surprise that Tyler has ventured into cinema.
Speaking of Pharrell, it seems we might have a clue as to how Tyler landed this opportunity.
Surely, voiceover work is right around the corner. Right, Tyler?
