Hey Pusha, Put it on Wax

The missed opportunity to flood the streets with diss tracks is an outrage.

Somehow—we know how—the Pusha-T and Drake beef conversation rages on. Following Drake’s appearance on HBO's The Shop, during which he revealed to LeBron James that Kanye West divulged information about his estranged son to Pusha, Pusha stopped by the Joe Budden Podcast to clear the air once more. Turns out, it was not Kanye West who gave him the information, but Drake’s producer 40.

“The information [regarding Drake’s son] came from 40. It didn’t come from Kanye, at all,” Pusha said. “40 is sleeping with a woman, he talks to her daily ... Ultimately speaks about how he’s disgruntled about certain things involving Drake and his career. With that also came the fact that Drake has a child.”

So there we have it, again.

Noah “40” Shebib is the snake in the grass, not Mr. West, apparently. But here’s the thing about this situation: stop doing interviews, and write a song.

Beef is meant to play out on wax, not on podcasts. Yes, Pusha-T is smart to rebut Drake’s interview with one of his own, but hip-hop would be all the better if these two stopped talking to their "friends" and started booking studio time.

At this point, the beef is devolving into petty gossip and media theatrics, when we could all be treated to a series of fantastic diss songs all the way into 2019. The missed opportunity to flood the streets with new music is an outrage—one we should not stand for.

Pusha, please, just put it on wax.
