2 Chainz 'Rap or Go to the League' Album to Feature Travis Scott & Young Thug

"It surely did."
Publish date:

Joe Budden has pulled up on 2 Chainz. In a newly-released interview, the two hip-hop veterans talk all things hunger and changing in music, and all the while Budden drops little tidbits about what 2 Chainz' upcoming Rap or Go to the League album sounds like. Most excitingly, Budden lets slip a few of the features.

"So the album was playin', and then the Travis Scott record came on," Budden said. "Shit, did that come on right after that Thug record?" To which 2 Chainz replied: "It surely did."

Earlier in the interview, Budden remarked that the record did not sound like a standard trap affair, either. Pairing this information together, along with the knowledge that 2 Chainz is a skilled writer, rapper, and versatile artist, and the album suddenly shapes up to be a potential gamechanger in 2 Chainz' evolutionary catalog.

More than a pleasurable listen, Chainz stresses that this album is meant to be a heavy-hitter, a record that is packed with lessons for the listener. Speaking to the Travis Scott record, 2 Chainz said that the duo made some "magic." Considering the two have been working since Scott's earliest material, we can only imagine the quality of the record.

Bring on the album.
