OG Maco, SoundCloud, 2019

Atlanta rapper OG Maco, seemingly frustrated with the infrastructure behind SoundCloud and his career in general, is selling his SoundCloud account for a measly $2,000.

For an upcoming artist, getting an account with thousands of followers built-in sounds great on paper, but there's just one problem: that's against SoundCloud's Terms of Service.

Per SoundCloud: "You must not sell or transfer, or offer to sell or transfer, any SoundCloud account to any third party without the prior written approval of SoundCloud... If we receive reports that you have attempted to sell an account or URL, your account will be terminated immediately, without any prior notification."

The moral of the story here is that there are no cheat codes. You cannot buy your way into a popular SoundCloud account, and if you try the money will simply go up in smoke. There are myriad better ways to spend this money.

A career in any field requires endless hard work, with no promises that things will work out. One thing we can promise, though, is that if you buy OG Maco's SoundCloud, you will be out $2,000 and your SoundCloud privileges.

You're better off trying to go viral.
