Freddie Gibbs, for the first time since parting ways with Interscope in 2007, is once again riding with a major record label.

In a new press release, it was revealed that his forthcoming album with Madlib, Bandana, is slated to be released by RCA Records later this year.

What Do Booking Agents Do?

Live performance is so important that crafting such a strategy requires input from not just a manager, but also a booking agent.

"Bandana will be released as a partnership between Keep Cool/RCA Records & Madlib Invazion/ESGN."

Gibbs, 36, and Madlib, 45, released their first collaborative project, Piñata, in March 2014. It was ranked by DJBooth as one of the 30 best albums of this past decade

To tease the upcoming album, the duo released their new single "Flat Tummy Tea."

We reached out to Freddie Gibbs, Gibbs' management, and a representative from RCA for further comment on the deal. We will update the piece if and when we hear back.

Correction: We previously reported that Bandana would be released in April. The label has confirmed that there is no hard release date, yet. The album is slated for release in 2019.
