As Young Thug's protégé, and a force in the new wave of trap coming out of Atlanta, fans should not be surprised to find out that Gunna and Young Thug have a collaborative project ready and waiting to be released.

In an interview on Sway In The Morning, Gunna said if it were up to him, the project would be in fans' hands by now, too.

“The one we’ve [Gunna and Young Thug] been working on these past few days and weeks—I’d put that out, if it was up to me, right now... I took that ["3 Headed Snake"] off our project," he said. "It was hard but I got it out of him.”

"We haven’t really came up with a whole name yet, but soon we’ll release it,” Gunna added.

Considering Gunna and Young Thug have incredible chemistry together, their joint project would be nothing if not a step into the mind of two trap royals.

While it is unclear when and if this project is dropping, fans can at least know they have a titan of an album to look forward to, once everything is squared away and the project is ready for release.

On Friday, February 22, Gunna released his studio debut, Drip or Drown 2, via YSL and 300 Entertainment.
