Flying Lotus: Tierra Whack "Torments" Me

Flying Lotus secured Tierra Whack for his forthcoming album, Flamagra, but that doesn't mean their working relationship is all rainbows and butterflies.

In a new interview with Complex, the veteran producer and DJ revealed that Whack has been sitting on a folder full of his beats—for two months.

"She just torments me. That woman. She torments me," FlyLo told writer Eric Diep. "I spent so much time over the past season trying to make music for Tierra Whack. I sent her a folder of stuff and I have not heard a single word. That was two months ago. Maybe she thinks it's all trash."

No, that isn't a misquote. Tierra Whack is currently sitting on a folder of Flying Lotus beats. Given Whack's known desire to avoid a "super industry sound," the mental anguish FlyLo must be battling at the moment is quite understandable.

Tierra, if you're reading this, please let FlyLo know his material isn't trash. Unless, of course, the beats he sent you are trash, in which case you should probably send him a text or something. Either way, open communication usually breeds a strong collaborative union.

Flamarga, which also features guests Anderson .Paak, Denzel Curry, Little Dragon, and Solange, among others, is slated for release on May 24 via Warp.
