J. Cole‘s streak of impeccable 2018 features has translated into a massive single: “Middle Child.” 

According to the RIAA, “Middle Child,” now 3x platinum, is one of only two singles released in 2019 to be multi-platinum.

The other single to achieve this honor is, of course, Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road.”

To date, Cole has acquired 12 platinum certifications: seven songs and five albums. 

By becoming 3x platinum, “Middle Child” is now Cole’s most successful single, followed by “Work Out,” which is 2x platinum. 

Considering “Work Out” was a radio-ready single, knowing that Cole secured his biggest single on bars alone must be a wonderful feeling. Congratulations.
