The Best (Non Rap) Live Shows I've Seen This Year

haim-live.jpg

I've been to a lot of live shows. Like a lot. From New York City to Los Angeles and everywhere in between, there aren't many cities in the country that I haven't been told to throw my hands. As spoiled and jaded as I know it seems, I've become so jaded by mediocre live shows that even though free shows are a job benefit, I rarely leave my couch to go see them.

In fact, I'd been in such a live show rut that I decided maybe getting out of hip-hop for a little while would help reinvigorate me, and it worked. In addition to the occasional rappity-rap performance (aka the Yeezus Tour) I just couldn't miss, over the least year I've made a special effort to see some non hip-hop shows, and in doing so I've seen enough incredible live shows to get me excited to see live music again.

I've compiled five or my favorite live shows from this year via that link below. Check it out and let me know what your favorite live acts were.
