Booth-exclusive, five-question interview

, Jessie J. discusses the difference between breaking through in the UK and stateside, the craziest of the many rumors circulating about her, and which foreign accents she finds the most ear-pleasing.

The title of your forthcoming debut is Who You Are. Simply, who is Jessie J?

Me. I am a 22-year-old who puts my life stories into melodies and just try to bring a little light into the world.

Describe the difference between breaking through in the UK and Stateside. How much more difficult is it to see success in the U.S.?

Realistically Texas is bigger than the UK so breaking America I know is going to take a hundred times more hard work but I'm ready.

Earlier this year, we featured your (super duper catchy) B.o.B.-assisted "Price Tag" single at DJBooth.net. What price tag would you put on stardom?

Success is priceless. Hard work is priceless. Fame, now that costs at least 100 quid.

Last month, on Twitter you wrote that "a movie could be created based on the amount of rumors you've read about yourself online." What rumor was the most wild or outrageous?

That my partner had spat in a rapper's face because he tried to talk to me.

I love a good British accent. What foreign accent do your ears find pleasing?

I like the Irish accent. I love a Californian accent too!

Final thoughts? Confessions? Shout outs?

Big ups to all my mandem! I got my heartbeats back like they got mine. Just be true to who you are. Many thanks.
