New York, NY -- MTV’s Official Style Guru, Coltrane Curtis, has been added to the line up of celebrities to promote the Rockport Company’s Established 1971 collection. Throughout the years, Rockport has remained an innovator in providing their consumers with dress and casual shoes that pioneer the relationship between performance and style.

The Rockport Established 1971 ad campaign will also feature other up-and-coming stars in the worlds of music, entertainment, and fashion that share Rockport’s passion for innovation and expression, including Lyfe Jennings, Wood Harris, and Yung Joc. Curtis’ ad, shot on location in Miami, focuses on his one of a kind sense of style that goes along with Rockport’s Differences Inside theme that is based around the versatility and limitless possibilities of each of the celebrities featured in the campaign. To further bring life to the Established 1971 collection, Curtis will be participating in special events to promote to ad campaign in local markets.

“We used to rock Rockports with old Polo Safari gear in the late 80's and early 90's; when they asked me to get involved with their new campaign, it made me think of how fly I was, crushin the block in my Rockports!,” said Curtis when asked about his thoughts on being involved in this national campaign that will appear in select magazines this spring.

Curtis continues to be the exclusive fashion commentator for MTV till 2009, covering red carpet arrivals for the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Movie Awards.
