These last few months, we've really been testing your hip-hop knowledge. From album release dates to tracklists, to rapper government names, your hip-hop knowledge has really been pushed. Well now it's time to separate the men from the boys. All that rap knowledge you have been building? Throw it out the window. For this quiz, you are going to need to transcend what you think you know and live in a subconscious realm of a false reality developed by an existential forces enacting power on the dual consciousness.

Does that make any sense? Nope. I'm just getting into the right frame of mind for this week's quiz: Jaden Smith or True Detective?

Those who tuned into the smash HBO show starring Matthew McConaughey know the similarities between Detective Cohle and Jaden Smith. Your job today is to determine which quotes come from the man who reads things, memorizes them, then spits them back verbatim with little to know concept of what he says actually means and which quotes come from McConaughey playing Detective Cohle. If you click on the right answer, you'll got some positive affirmation. If you click on the wrong answer, you'll get something fucked up.

Take your time (which, of course, is a flat circle) and best of luck.

"It’s proven that how time moves for you depends on where you are in the universe. It’s relative to beings and other places. But on the level of being here on earth, if you are aware in a moment, one second can last a year."
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"To realize that all your life, all your love, all your hate, all your memories, all your pain, it was all the same thing. It was all the same dream, a dream that you had inside a locked room, a dream about being a person"
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"...like you can smell the psychosphere"
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"It’s prana energy because they still breathe through their stomach. They remember. Babies remember."
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"When you live your whole life in a prison freedom can be so dull"
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"Just observation and deduction. I see a propensity for obesity. Poverty. A yen for fairy tales."
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"Because your mind has a duality to it. So when one thought goes into your mind, it’s not just one thought, it has to bounce off both hemispheres of the brain. When you’re thinking about something happy, you’re thinking about something sad. When you think about an apple, you also think about the opposite of an apple. It’s a tool for understanding mathematics and things with two separate realities."
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"In eternity, where there is no time, nothing can grow. Nothing can become. Nothing changes. So death created time to grow the things that it would kill... and you are reborn but into the same life that you've always been born into...You can't remeber your lives. You can't change your lives. And that is the terrible and secret fate of all life. You're trapped in a nightmare you keep waking up into."
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"The moment that truth is organized it becomes a lie"
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

"The ontological fallacy of expecting a light at the end of the tunnel, well, that’s what the preacher sells, same as a shrink. See, the preacher, he encourages your capacity for illusion. Then he tells you it’s a virtue. Always a buck to be had doing that, and it’s such a desperate sense of entitlement, isn’t it"
Matthew McConaughey
Jaden Smith

How'd you do? Is your mind a pretzel? Honestly this was damn hard. One is an actor playing an eccentric, alcohol-dependent character and the other is a real human being who is only 16-years-old and yet they sound identical; it's remarkable really. When it's a character on a TV show, it's all in good fun--I'll just get baked and wait for the cool shit--but when it's 16-year-old kid trying to spout of shit well beyond his years, it irks me. Hence why I hate Jaden. If this doesn't prove he's full of shit, nothing will.
