for this year’s
SXSW
music festival in Austin. Antoine “Sir Michael Rocks” Reed (originally from Matteson, Illinois) is a rapper and one half of the acclaimed retro rap duo The Cool Kids, as well as the newest member of Curren$y’s Jet Life label.
Known for his perpetually cooled out rhyme style, Sir Michael Rocks had dedicated himself to making hip-hop so fresh you’ll think it came straight out the Ziploc.

Have you previously performed at SXSW?
Yes, I have performed on numerous occasions but mostly under The Cool Kids. Last year I started doing a few shows as Sir Michael Rocks at SXSW.
What are you looking forward to most about the experience?
Looking forward to performing the
Premier Politics
joints and a few new songs people haven’t heard.
What fellow artists are you most excited to see perform?
I’m actually just looking forward to seeing a lot of the new acts – nobody in particular. Anytime you come to SXSW you are surprised by the new groups that leave an impression on you.
What are you working on in the weeks/months to come that our readers/your fans should know about?
