This Week in Hype: The Squad on Wale, Kendrick, Resolutions & More

Fresh for 2015 you suckers!!! The "This Week in Hype" podcast is officially back for yet another year filled with me talking about rap, me talking about rap with other people, rap and rap talk. In the wise words of Yung Joc, it's going down.

Everyone always does mega year-end podcasts, including me, but why not do a mega year-start podcast? Wouldn't that be even more important? So I brought on the #Squad (aka Lucas & Yoh) to talk about our hopes for hip-hop in 2015.

Discussed This Week

Sarkodie, Offset Jim & ALEMEDA: Best of the Week

Sarkodie, Offset Jim, and ALEMEDA, among others, had the best new songs on Audiomack this week.

The Miami-bred artist is a Trojan horse in today's underground rap landscape.

Fenix Flexin Learned How to Inspire Himself

In a post-Shoreline Mafia world, rapper Fenix Flexin has found peace within himself. He breaks it down for Audiomack World.

* As always, shouts to Tino for that dope theme song. You should follow Tino and hear Tino’s story in full on the podcast.
* No giveaway or fake commercial this week, we just get straight into the hip-hop goodness.
* Yoh, Lucas and I ramble about everything and anything for 45 minutes, including why I don't feel Wale, why Lucas doesn't feel Freddie Gibbs, why we all don't feel Meek Mill, what if Kendrick's upcoming album sucks and much more.
* This week's closing track, Kat Dhalia's "Gangsta" because her new album is streaming and it's amazeballs.
* Subscribe to the podcast on iTunes, SoundCloud, PodomaticAudiomack, etc. and only all the good things in the world will happen to you ever.
