It's that time of year again; time ot pack up some duffel bags of cash, hop on a plane to Atlanta, and hit up up Magic City Someone's got to pay for those poor girl's college tuitons, right?
In addition to some strip club Varsity pilgrimages though, for the next three days the DJBooth crew will be down in the ATL for the A3C festival. We know, it's going to be some very good times. And without exaggeration, one of the reasons I go back every year is that it's a chance to meet some of my internet friends in that thing called real life. So if you'll be at A3C too, you can come find me here:
- I'll be moderating the Indie Labels panel on Friday, starting at 12:30, along with Dru Ha of DuckDown Records, Jarren Benton and more.
- I'll also be on the Writer's Room panel on Saturday, starting at 3:30, along with John Gotty of Smoking Section, Drew Millard of Noisey and more.
- We're the official media sponsor of the ProAudio venue, so when I'm not on a panel, I'll be camped out there all day getting it in, or what not. There's some really awesome stuff going down there, check it out.
- If you see me at show, the after party, the hotel lobby, say what's up. I look like this, and there's a respectable chance I'll be wearing a "Detox Isn't Dropping" shirt and drinking with Jarren Benton again.
But I know what you're thinking, "I don't really care about you." Fair enough, it's far from the first time I've imagined someone thinking that because they probably are. Lucky for you, there's a ridiculous amount of other artists, shows, panels and generally dope people at A3C. To cop tickets, check our what else is going on, etc., click here.
Hope to see you there DJBooth Nation. And for those who won't be attending, unfortunately my A3C obligations means no podcast or "Best/Worst" this week. Never fear though, we'll be back at it next week per usual. Jermaine, take us out...
