The new kids on the block are ready to rumble with the big boys with some big boy toys! DJ Tech Pro USA is back at the 2012 DJ Expo with some new and exciting pieces and a cool display to show it all off. Check out the new DJ Tech Dragon 2 Digital DJ Controller, the DJM-303 mixer, and a DJ getting it in on a pair of SL1300mk6's that we reviewed a few months ago. The Denon DJ Booth had a GREAT showing at this year's 2012 Atlantic City DJ Expo at the Trump Taj Mahal hotel and casino. They had all of their controllers like the MC6000 and MC3000 on display with all flavors of software for DJ's to try them on. Also on hand was the SC3900 and SC2900 for DJ's to get the feel of. The SC2900 will not be released in the United States until October when I'll be sure to get a full review. Check out the booth coverage in the meantime to see how it looks in person!

Year in and Year out, Pioneer DJ has the biggest and best exhibit in all of the DJ Expo Land. This year, Pioneer has pulled out all the stops and even managed to give us some last-minute announcements that had me scrambling less than a week before the start of the show. Excellent marketing by Pioneer as everyone and their mother was seen at the Pioneer DJ Booth to try out the new DDJ-ERGO-Limited and the new XDJ-AERO which were all on display and ready for all DJ's to give them a try. Virtual DJ made a very good showing for themselves this year as almost all DJ controllers out there come with one version of VDJ or another. And as such, almost every manufacturer had their gear on display at the VDJ booth so that they can show how versatile the software truly is. There were Stanton controllers, Pioneer CDJ's, Numark gear, and so much more. Virtual DJ should be out by the end of the year, but they want to make sure everything is ironed out before release. At the DJ Expo in Atlantic City, NJ last month, we were able to see the American Audio VSM4 media controller up close and personal and we were surprised at its versatility and multiple functionality. This 4-deck multimedia player is full of so many features and potential that the guys at proaudiostar decided to put out a quick video to explain the VSM4. Video inside.

We stopped by the Rane DJ booth at the 2012 Atlantic City DJ Expo to see most of the mixers and Serato Software all on prominent display. There were a group of DJ's putting the "scratch" down on the turntables and Sixty-One and Sixty-Two SSL mixers that are taking the DJ world by storm. Also on-had were the 19-inch Rackmount style mixers and lots of gear on-hand for DJ's to check out and purchase. Check out the full video of the Rane Expo Booth inside.
