Roughly three months ago, DJBooth announced a partnership with Digital DJ Pool in celebration of their re-launch. In the time since we published that story, the company has updated its website, making it easier for DJ’s to find the music they need as quickly as possible.

Last week, I took the newly-updated Digital DJ Pool for a spin, and I found the top navigation panels, along with the side filters to adjust the results, impressive. There are different sections for Featured Music, Trending Music, and the top Charts, in addition to filters on the left side to narrow down the music genre you want to stream and/or download.

Once users find a song, a simple click on its artwork starts a stream for your listening pleasure. The mini player at the bottom of the screen shows the currently streaming song so that you can continue to navigate through the site to find other tracks. If you like the track that is currently streaming, there’s a small button to download the track right inside the mini player so you don’t have to navigate back to the actual song listing to download the record.

You can also create a crate system to bundle songs together and download them all at once and label the crates to separate or sort them as desired. The MP3 quality is always 320, and download speeds are breakneck.

When comparing Digital DJ Pool to other music download sites for DJs, I found that the availability of most of the top hits is pretty much the same. There are a few different remixes and mashups that are only available on the Digital DJ Pool website, though.

My only real gripe with the site is that they don’t have a back catalog of classic music and hits. They also don’t offer full album downloads.

Digital DJ Pool is currently offering a $1 trial. You will get full access to their service to see if it’s right for you. Then it’s only $20 a month to become a full-time member. If you’re a DJ looking for a place to download the newest music at a great price point, then be sure to check out the Digital DJ Pool as one of your options.
