My good people over at Allen & Heath were able to send me a set of Xone XD-53 headphones for a full written review and I decided to complete another first impressions/unboxing video to show the masses what we are working with. The headphones are advertised as the top-of-the-line Allen & Heath DJ Headphones with 53mm drivers and all coming in at a price of $199. Video Inside.

Here is a quick unboxing and First Impressions video of the Allen and Heath Xone 2:02 professional DJ mixer. The original Xone:02 mixer was one of the best scratch mixers around, and this newer version uses the same solid construction while sporting an all-new (and cooler) paintjob and a Pro-X-Fade Crossfader. The new Allen & Heath two-channel Xone:23C professional DJ mixer has excellent build quality, an internal USB DJ soundcard with DVS capabilities, Mixvibes LE software, and an X:Link connector to easily link to other Allen & Heath Xone:K series controllers. The Xone:23C is also like a 2+2 channel mixer since it has separate gain knobs for each of the four RCA inputs on the rear of the mixer. Last year we brought you a complete review of the Xone flagship professional DJ headphones, the XD:53. We thought they were almost perfect, but did not include a detachable cable which is usually the first point of failure on most professional DJ headphones. Thankfully Allen & Heath have decided to right the wrong by updating the XD:53 to include the detachable/replaceable cable and updating the color scheme with a new gunmetal look. Allen & Heath has just released a Digital USB version of the Xone:43 analog mixer which is called the Xone:43C. The new Xone:43C mixer has all of the analog goodness of the 43 including the iconic Filters and great sound quality but also adds a USB soundcard for DVS playback and an X-Link port to connect other Allen & Heath Digital devices such as the K1 or K2.
