Cerwin Vega has been making speakers for almost every application for decades. My very first pair of DJ speakers were Cerwin Vega 12’s that my Dad passed down to me from the 70’s. They thumped for another 20 years before I replaced them. Cerwin Vega has announced the new P-series Active (powered) PA speaker lineup that packs huge power while still being Portable for Mobile DJ use.
The P-Series come in two separate models with one being dubbed the P1500X which is a powered 2-way 1500watt, 15-inch woofer setup to handle the wide frequency ranges; while the P1800X is a single 2000watt, 18-inch subwoofer enclosure for deep and rich bass. Given the Cerwin Vega track record, I’m sure these speakers will be very durable and will last for a very long time. They are made from the right materials and they look easy enough to move from gig to gig.
