Denon DJ has just announced its newest DJ controller and media player called the Denon DJ SC5000. This new deck has eight RGB backlit pads on the bottom to control the hotcues, samples, slicer, and loops along with a full color touch screen display and a central display on the jog wheel that shows the current track’s artwork. The last time Denon DJ introduced new media players was back in the SC2900 and SC3900 days when these devices were good alternatives to their Pioneer Counterparts, but not good enough to break through to the masses. The new SC5000 player aims to change all of this with new features that DJ’s have come to love right on the face of the unit. The Denon SC5000 players will work with a new revised version of the Engine sofware and will cost $1900 per unit when they will be available within the next couple of months.

The Denon SC5000 has multiple colors for the jog wheel, three USB inputs, an SD card input, and a LAN output to link up to four players together at once. Check out the full press release below for more info and stay tuned as we will definitely have one of these in the lab for the full review treatment shortly.
