The Denon DS1 is essentially a cheaper Rane SL2 that will get you well on your way to playing timecode sources with a traditional mixer.     Today, for the first day of the NAMM 2015 show, Denon DJ is coming out swinging! Their first release of the day is the new Denon DS1 which is a Serato DJ Digital Vinyl Interface and soundcard that will allow DJ's to connect turntables and CD decks to an analog DJ mixer for full Serato DJ playback using noisemap (timecode) vinyl or CD's. The DS1 will come bundled with Serato DJ software and two timecode vinyl & CD's for only $300 when its released in the Spring.

    Serato DJ 1.7.6 Update: Denon DS1 [Videos]

    Last night Serato DJ has released a new update to their flagship Software to provide additional compatibility for new products. This new Serato DJ 1.7.6 update specifically allows users to now purchase a new 24-bit Denon DS1 professional DJ soundcard for Serato Noisemap vinyl or CD control with external mixers and turntables or CD decks.     Pioneer DJ has just announced a new Serato DJ 1.5.0 version of its existing DJM-900nexus Mixer called the DJM-900SRT. The new Pioneer DJM-900SRT will still retain all of the cool features of the 900nexus but with an internal Serato DJ Soundcard that is capable of Digital Vinyl Playback of up to four CD or vinyl timecode decks within the full new Serato DJ 1.5.0 software now with DVS control

    Today at NAMM 2015, the Serato team has announced a new Serato DJ Club Kit that will allow users of certain Pioneer and Allen & Heath four channel Club mixers to work in digital vinyl setup mode with external decks and Serato DJ software control. Users of the Pioneer DJM-900NSX/DJM-850 or the Allen & Heath DB2/DB4 can connect to the computer via USB and have full Serato DJ timecode control using the Serato DJ Club Kit which will run $169.

The Pioneer DDJ-SP1 is designed to be used as a "sub-controller" that works with a primary Serato DJ controller or Mixer+DVS setup to offer the advanced features found on the Pioneer DDJ-SX controller to all Serato users.     The new Pioneer DJM-250MK2 mixer takes on a similar compact footprint as the original we reviewed years ago with a newer Magvel Crossfader, Color FX Filter knobs, and a built in DVS Rekordbox ready soundcard.
