    Denon Hybrid Mode Free Firmware Update Released

    A couple of months ago at the Atlantic City DJ Expo of 2010, I was able to show a video on djbooth.net of the Denon DN-S3700 working in Hybrid mode on Serato and Traktor. Now the Firmware update has been released and is free to download for all Denon DN-S3700 owners. This update will allow users to use the unit with Serato (or any other DVS) without the need of timecode CD's. More information inside.

    Denon DJ Engine Management Software Update V1.1.0

    The Denon DJ Engine Music Management Software gets a new update with some cool new features to make using the Denon SC2900 and SC3900 an even more enjoyable experience.     Denon DJ Officially Announces SC3900 Media Player (VIDEO UPDATE)

    After teasing us with a few shaky promotional videos and news articles, Denon DJ has finally (and officially) announced the Denon SC3900 Multi-Media USB MIDI controller. This new controller boasts iPod, CD, and USB slots for playback and can be used as an all-out MIDI controller with it's buttons and sliders being fully mappable for a Computer DJ's needs. The 9-inch actively spinning platter makes the S3900 a top-choice for hip-hop and Scratch DJ's and timecode can be used without the use of CD's. Check out the press release inside for all the specs.     Denon DJ SC3900 Confirmed

    After teasing everyone with a quick video with DJ Switch showing off the scratching prowess of a new machine, Denon DJ has finally let the cat out of the bag! Introducing the newest Multi-Media player form Denon DJ dubbed the SC3900. The SC3900 looks very similar to the current Denon DN-S3700 with a few more MIDI and controller buttons for the DJ software users. The SC3900 will be able to play CD's, USB flash/hard drives, SD Cards (speculation), and will have a Traktor mapping from the factory to support the new Cue/Sample buttons in the upper left hand corner of the unit.     DJbooth.net was on-hand at the DJ Expo last week in Atlantic City, NJ to bring everyone a quick look at the exhibits and cool new product features at the Denon Pro DJ booth.     Serato DJ 1.7.6 Update: Denon DS1 [Videos]

    Last night Serato DJ has released a new update to their flagship Software to provide additional compatibility for new products. This new Serato DJ 1.7.6 update specifically allows users to now purchase a new 24-bit Denon DS1 professional DJ soundcard for Serato Noisemap vinyl or CD control with external mixers and turntables or CD decks. The new Serato DJ 1.7.6 update also has a few other fixes for minor bugs within the software. Check out the quick videos that show the new Denon DS1 in action both with Vinyl and CD setups.

    [Video] Denon SC2900 Unboxing & First Impressions

    Last week, Denon DJ has announced the new update V.1.1.0 of their new Engine software which will make for a more enjoyable experience when using it in conjunction with the SC2900 and SC3900 Multi-Media players. Hot off the heels of the announcement, Denon has sent us a new Denon SC2900 for a full written and HD-Video review. The SC2900 is essentially the jog-wheel version of their SC3900 Multi-Media player which has an actively spinning platter with a true vinyl feel. The jog wheel has a multi-color LED ring around it to give the DJ key indicators during playback. The SC2900 has four on-board hot cue buttons, loop controls, separate start/stop adjustment knobs, Slip-Mode, and easy to use browsing controls. The Full review will be completed shortly, but watch the unboxing and first impressions video to see the unit fresh out of the box.

    Vestax VCI-400 Standalone Mixer Mode (Free Update)

    A few weeks ago, we brought you the full HD-Video review of the new Vestax VCI-400 Digital DJ Controller and just last week, we brought you another DIY video showing how we upgraded the crossfader to the scratch-worthy Vestax CF-X2. Now Vestax has released a free download firmware update that allows the Vestax VCI-400 controller to work as a standalone mixer without the need for any computer or USB connection. Just plug in the power cable, hit a few rear switches and you're ready to go. Check out the video and press release inside.
