The Mini Innofader is a user replaceable long life and low profile fader that can fit into many different mixers and controllers to give users a very durable and adjustable upgrade option. The Mini Innofader PNP is like a slimmed down version of the bigger Innofader so that it can fit into smaller spaces, but it still retains the solid/smooth construction and the ability to adjust the cut-in distance, the polarity, and the sharpness of the curve.
Mini Innofader PNP P & PNP S
The Mini Innofader was first introduced on the Traktor Kontrol Z2 Mixer. Many famous DJ's love this crossfader feel and durability. The official Mini Innofader PNP is now available for purchase at many retail DJ outlets for about $99. The Mini Innofader PNP has a solid dual rail and non-contact fader system for a super-smooth operation that can now fit nicely into many different controllers and mixers. (NOTE: The Mini Innofader in the Z2 is specifically tailored to the Z2 and won't work on any other mixers.) This crossfader comes in two different flavors. There is a Mini Innofader PNP P which is an easier plug-and-play style solution that comes with many different plates and cables for a simple installation. Then there is the Mini Innofader PNP S that can be installed into certain other mixers and controllers that will require soldering to the main boards or leads of the mixer. The PNP S installation will be a bit more complex and time consuming, but the end result will be worth the investment. You can check the

DIY: Mini Innofader PNP P + Pioneer DJM-T1
For the purpose of this feature, we will be unboxing and installing the Mini Innofader PNP P fader into the Pioneer DJM-T1 Traktor Mixer. This mixer already comes with an adjustable crossfader, but the design of the fader is mostly plastic with a gearing system that can sometimes go awry. The cut-in points and cut-out points of this fader are also a bit further apart than I would like. So with this in mind, the DJM-T1 is an excellent candidate for the Mini Innofader PNP P upgrade. Elliot from Audio Innovate was able to send a new retail Mini Innofader PNP P crossfader to show the masses just how easy it is to install...
The Mini Innofader PNP P also has a small calibration button underneath the board so that the user can adjust the cut in distance on the left or the right side of the fader. The cut in distance changes in 0.15mm increments so the user can dial it in just right. The calibration button can also be used to change the Polarity of the crossfader (reverse), or to change the sharpness of the curve control. To make these adjustments, the user must hold down the calibration button and move the fader in the correct pattern to make the necessary changes. It's almost like entering codes in old video games. This level of customization alone allows users to turn their controller or mixer into a much more capable scratching and mixing machine.
