The latest product for review is the new Epsilon EPM 8.0 powered studio monitors. These affordable monitors have an internal amp, 8-inch woofers, three input types, and a rubbed MDF enclosure for good sound and durability. The Epsilon EPM 8.0 monitors are sold separately for only $199. There is also a 6.5-inch woofer version which for smaller spaces which cost only $149 each. [Video] Pioneer S-DJ80X Monitor Unboxing & First Impressions

Pioneer has recently announced the new S-DJ X monitor lineup that is affordable and squarely aimed at DJ's who want good performance speakers in a small form factor. The Pioneer S-DJ X range comes in either the five-inch (S-DJ50X), the six-inch (S-DJ60X), or the eight-inch (S-DJ80X) woofer configurations and have an auto on/off mode to save on power when not in use. They are powered internally by an AB amplifier and Pioneer says that the technology in the woofer design and front port found on these speakers improve air flow with “Groove Technology”. Akai Announces RPM500 and RPM800 Monitors

Akai, the legendary studio production station company, has announced the release of two new Studio reference monitors called the RPM500 (with a 5-inch woofer) and the RPM800 (with an 8-inch woofer). These new powered monitors boast great balance, sound, and build quality at a competitive price point. Each of these RPM monitors also have High Frequency Trim, Mid-Range Boost, and Low Frequency cutoff controls along with XLR, TRS, and RCA inputs on the back. NAMM 2014: Behringer NEKKST Studio Monitors [Video]

At this year's NAMM show, Behringer expands it's Nekkst studio monitor lineup to include a few new sizes and options for DJ's and producers on a budget. The Behringer Nekkst series monitors were created by the founder of the KRK monitors, Keith R. Klawitter, so you know they are really going to pack a punch and perform up to expectations. The Behringer Nekkst series is now available in K5 (5-inch), K6 (6-inch), K8 (8-inch), and K10 (10-inch subwoofer).
