V-MODA has just released their first wireless earbuds called the V-MODA Forza Metallo which have great sound, a wrap-around neck design, and many different fittings for the ears to fit each user just right. V-MODA has taken their headphone expertise to make high quality in ear buds with superior construction CNC aircraft-grade lightweight aluminum with 3D custom handcrafted caps.
V-MODA has just announced their newest headphone called the V-MODA CROSSFADE II Wireless. These new headphones are the second iteration of their first over-the-ear Bluetooth headphones which we reviewed and found to be great for DJ and everyday use. The new V-MODA CROSSFADE II headphones adds the Cliqfold hinge to fold them down into a smaller footprint for transport/storage, new hi-res drivers, a slightly larger battery for longer use times, and larger-Deeper cushions for enhanced isolation. The V-MODA Remix Bluetooth speaker and headphone amp was just announced yesterday and we've already got our unit in the lab for the full out review treatment. This all metal speaker is heavy but small meaning it may pack a big punch in a small package. V-MODA has just announced a new product called the V-MODA Remix which is a combination of a Bluetooth speaker and a Headphone Amplifier that works perfectly with their excellent line of headphones. The V-MODA Remix is also the first 3D-Printed Fully Faceted Custom Product with Hi-Fi Sound Quality. The body of the Remix can be fully customized to fit the style of the user.
Today is August 8th, which is also known as 808 day for Roland! 808 is the code for Roland's iconic drum machine that started a whole new wave of music and technology. Roland has announced today that it is partnering with V-Moda and all future V-Moda products will launch under the Roland umbrella. Check out the details of this new and exciting deal after the jump.
Pioneer has recently updated its Flagship DJ Headphones and we now have one in the DJbooth.net lab for the full out review treatment. Today Pioneer are announcing two more headphones to their studio monitor range, the HRM-5 and the HRM-6. They are an addition to the currently available HRM-7 which was the first of the new studio monitor headphone range. They both pack a new 40 mm driver, with a frequency range up to 40 KHz. Master & Dynamic has just released a new set of professional over-the-ear headphones that also has bluetooth wireless capability. The new MW60 Headphones have an all metal construction for durability and high quality leather components and cushions for the headband/earcups for superior comfort. The Master & Dynamic MH40 Headphones that we reviewed last year were GREAT for DJ use and we'll check to see how the MW60 stacks up as well. For the last 2 years, Pioneer has upgraded and brought new gear to their headphone lines in the form of the HDJ-2000 MK2, the HDJ-C70 and the HRM-7. As an experienced DJ company, Pioneer understands that even though they aim to build very robust headphones, time passes and some of the materials will take a beating as that is what DJ's do their gear. Today, Pioneer has announced their newest DJ headphones, the HDJ-700. It looks to me like the new HDJ-700 will likely replace the entry-level HDJ-500 Headphones that we reviewed some four years ago. The HDJ-700 headphones have an "on-ear" fit come in a few different color schemes. The HDJ-700 have a replaceable/removable cable, and one earcup can swivel for easy one-ear monitoring. The new Gold Pioneer HDJ-1500-N headphones have the same exact properties and features as the original HDJ-1500's we reviewed a few years ago. If you've been following this DJ blog for a while, then you would already know that my absolute favorite DJ headphones are the V-MODA M-100. These headphones have great looks, impressive sound, excellent fit, and durability. You also have the option to remove the shields on the outside of the earcups and design them via graphics and colors exactly as you wish. Audio-Technica is now shipping the ATH-M50xDG Professional Monitor Headphones which is a limited-edition dark green version of their popular ATH-M50x Headphones that we recently reviewed late last year. The new ATH-M50xDG headphones have the exact same features and functions as the black version and it fits in nicely with the new remastered M-Series line of headphones.
Numark has recently announced three new headphones in their HF series to suit all DJ's needs. The HF150 headphones are collapsible and have a small design for easy transport, the HF325 have an on-ear performance design, while the HF350 have an over-the-ear Pro design. All three sets of headphones have leatherette earcups for superior comfort and they all sport 40mm drivers for crisp and clean sound.
