The Hercules Light Show DJ Headphones are nearly identical to the previously reviewed Hercules Pro M1001 headphones with the inclusion of internal lights on the outside of the ear cups that pulsate to the sound of the music. The lights are powered by an internal rechargeable battery which can be connected via USB to micro-USB cable when a refill is necessary. The Light Show headphones have a swivel and fold style design for the 50mm drivers that fit completely over-the-ears for good isolation.

Setup & First Impressions
Since these headphones are essentially the same as the Hercules Pro M1001 headphones we reviewed last year, this will be a quick mini-review to let you know how the actual Light Show elements of the headphones work. For more on the complete written and video review of these headphones please check out our original Review here. The only construction difference is the permanently attached cable. The original M1001 headphones allows users to remove and attach the cable to any earcup while the new Light Show headphones have a permanently attached cable while the other earcup is used to control the Light-Show features.
Conclusion / Recommended For
In conclusion, the Hercules Light Show DJ headphones are an affordable DJ headphone that offers a feature that no other set of cans does. The Hercules Light Show DJ headphones have a cool light on the earcups that pulsate to the beat that's playing on the outside or inside of the headphones and they are very lightweight and portable due to their fold, rotate, and swivel design. The Hercules DJ Light Show headphones also have pretty good sound quality with really deep and pounding bass. The Price is also just right at only $100 a pair. On the downside, the all-plastic construction feels a little weak and flimsy. The Permanently attached cable can't be replaced if it breaks and there is an uncomfortable clamping force after about 20 minutes of use which makes wearing the Light Show headphones for extended periods of time a real chore. Overall though, these headphones work well in the DJ booth as they provide good isolation with the 50mm driver over-the-ear design and the volume is loud enough for a good DJ monitoring experience.
