Just in case there weren't enough all-in-one media controllers on the market, Stanton DJ Division has just introduced their latest controller into the mix. Announced at Musikmesse 2011, the all new Stanton SCS.4DJ Controller is well on the way to a store near you. Stanton has managed to be unique amongst a plethora of media controllers out there by allowing the DJ to use the SCS.4DJ without a computer! The software is pre-loaded so all one has to do is add music and start rockin! The Stanton SCS.4DJ comes with FOUR USB inputs for mass storage devices like flash drives, hard drives, and iPods and multiple decks can play tracks from the same device simultaneously. There is a high resolution screen located right on the unit for waveform, track browsing, and searching. Stanton calls the platters "touch sensitive" with a scratch algorithm, but we will be sure to fully test the capabilities as soon as these units are available for full review. The Stanton SCS.4DJ comes with its own proprietary DJ software, but I'm sure it will play on Traktor and Serato with a little finess. More information to come very shortly...For now check the press release below.
