review, I thought it would be cool to take a look at some inexpensive options for DJ's looking to step foot into the production realm. M-Audio, which is apart of Numark's InMusic brands, has just released some affordable controller keyboards with great features to start users on their way to making music. The M-audio Oxygen Keyboards are very similar to other keyboard controller ranges on the market and they come in 61, 49, and 25-key versions but they all have an intuitive rubber pad section for drumming sounds as well. There's also other faders and knobs to control DAW functions when completing a recording. The Keyboards come bundled with lite versions of Expand2, Ableton, and SoniVox... NI Teases New KOMPLETE Keyboard Controller [Video]

In the teaser video, you can clearly see LED screens that show current selections and some distinct black and white keys for users to play with. Akai Advance Series Keyboards [Video]

M-Audio BX Carbon Monitors

M-Audio has released a new line of powered monitor speakers that boast great looks, great sound, and great affordability. The new M-Audio BX Carbon series monitors come with bi-amplified internal power, separate XLR and quarter-inch inputs, woven kevlar woofers, and silk dome tweeters to match. These monitors are offered in three different woofer sizes which include the BX5 Carbon (5-inch), the BX6 Carbon (6-inch), and the BX8 Carbon (8-inch).

NAMM 2014: Audio Technica M-Series Headphones

Audio-Technica has just announced a new line of M-Series headphones that will add different price and performance tiers to their existing and widely popular ATH-M50x headphones. The ATH-M20x are the entry level headphones that have 40mm drivers and will cost $69. The ATH-M30x adds better and louder sound at $99. The ATH-M40x adds slightly better drivers, a fold-hinge construction, and a removable cable for $139. The top performing ATH-M50x adds bigger bass booming 45mm drivers for $239.
