Setup & First Impressions

House of Marley is a new audio company that produces some cool audio products such as small speakers, headphones, and earbuds. The new Marley Liberate XLBT over-the-ear Bluetooth enabled headphones sport huge 50mm drivers, solid metal headband and hinges, leather headband, and thick plush earcups for isolation which could make them a good fit for DJ's. The Liberate XLBT headphones come bundled with a removable cable with an in-line mic, a Micro-USB charging cable, and a soft carry case for transport and storage.

The XLBT headphones have the very durable metal construction in the headband and hinge mechanism which means they might last a long time. The XLBT can work in either Bluetooth mode or in non-battery driven audio cable mode. The XLBT comes with a removable fabric audio cable and USB cable for charging. The XLBT has really thick leather headband and earcup material for comfort and they also have really good overall sound with crisp highs and deep bass. On the downside, the fit of the earcups is in between on-the-ear, and over-the-ear which makes then not as good with isolation or sound leakage which may be an issue for some DJ's. In Conclusion, the Marley Liberate XLBT headphones are a decent choice for DJ's but a great choice for other all around audio users.

Pros

  • Durable Metal Construction
  • Can Work in Bluetooth Or Cable Mode
  • Comes with Removable fabric audio & USB cables
  • Thick Real Leather Headband & Earcups for Comfort
  • Good Overall sound with crisp Highs and Deep Bass

Cons

  • On-Ear & Over-Ear Fit is not Great for Isolation
