Gemini DJ division is throwing it's hat into the 4-deck/4-channel media controller arena at this year's NAMM 2011. Introducing the new Gemini CTRL-47 digital media controller. This unit boasts 4-channels of mixing goodness with two full jog wheels and it comes bundled with Virtual DJ 7. The press release doesn't provide too much information but on the face of the unit, you can see controls for loops, effects, samples, and hot cues. Will the Gemini controller be up to the hype or will it get lost in the fray of other 4-channel media controllers? GCI Technologies' Gemini DJ Division is starting to put some serious muscle behind its products and it is showing at the 2011 NAMM DJ show in California. GCI has introduced the tabletop Media Controller the Gemini CDJ-700 and the rack-mounted dual Media Controller the Gemini CDMP-7000. If everything goes to plan, then these will be the first iterations in a new line of Gemini Media Controllers. GCI Technologies has enlisted their Gemini DJ Division to provide us with their answer to the newest all-in-one USB DJ Controller product craze that has recently hit the industry. Numark is hitting NAMM 2011 as hard as Barry Bonds in his record-setting home run year! Numark has introduced yet another media controller called the Numark DJ2GO which is an ultra-compact device that will allow DJ's to control their favorite DJ software for only $60. The DJ2GO media controller is perfect for Mobile DJ's or DJ's who need a no-frills controller solution that can fit anywhere and go anywhere. Full press release inside.

Another big hit straight out of NAMM this year is the newest digital media controller from Numark called the NS6. If it looks familiar, that's because it is! It's basically a Numark NS7 controller with touch sensitive jog wheels and an additional two channels/decks at the DJ's disposal. With the touch sensitive jog wheels, four-channel mixer, and four-decks of Serato Itch software control, this unit sure seems like a winner to us. I'm sure the rest of the DJ companies with four-channel-deck controllers are now shaking in their boots. Full press release and product details inside.

Gemini is coming to the NAMM 2013 with a bag full of tricks. The second Digital DJ controller announced by Gemini for this week's show is the G4V. The Gemini G4V looks to be a four-deck controller with eight performance pads over each of the 14-bit high-res Jog Wheels. The Gemini G4V will come bundled with an edition of Virtual DJ and will enable users to control up to four decks at a time. There' s no official press release as of yet, but check out my breakdown after the jump.

We reviewed the Gemini FirstMix some time ago here on DJbooth.net and now the unit is finally available on store shelves everywhere for the scant retail price of $99. If you are a beginner DJ or someone who wants a super-small controller to tote around in a backpack, then this may just be the controller for you.
