NAMM 2011 - Mixware Wrap-Up
The DJ equipment distribution company Mixware did it real big this year at NAMM 2011. They brought us a slew of new Decksaver protection covers and a few new Reloop Controllers of different flavors that are sure to suit any DJ's style. As I reported last week during the NAMM show, Decksaver has released their covers for the Traktor Kontrol S4, Pioneer CDJ-850, American Audio VMS4, the Vestax VFX-1, and the Vestax Typhoon/Spin controller. All the details for the new Decksavers can be found in our other post
.
Reloop has just released the Jockey 3, the Contour Controller, and the Contour Interface MIDI controllers for all the DJ's in the US to drool over. The Reloop Jockey 3 is an all-metal construction; four-deck; all-in-one controller with a mixer that can act as a standalone piece for the analog or CD decks that can be connected via RCA input. The Reloop Contour Controller and the Reloop Contour Interface are both new controllers that can handle up to four decks of control in the single small form-factor unit. The Contour Controller has a USB connection and can only be used with a software program while connected to the computer. On the other hand, the Contour Interface has four RCA outputs and a USB interface to distribute the playback to a standalone mixer for other creative opportunities... All of these controllers by Reloop come specifically tailored for Traktor Pro, but can be mapped to any popular DJ software out there. I will DEFINITELY bring you the Reloop controller reviews as soon as the gear is available. Keep it locked for more information and videos to come. Full press release, specs, and pics below.
