NAMM 2011 - Pioneer Announces Media Controllers for Serato (DDJ-S1) and Traktor (DDJ-T1)

NAMM 2011 is upon us and so is all the cool gear that gets introduced when a new show is in play. Pioneer hasn't wasted any time dropping the first really big bomb of the show. Introducing the Pioneer Media Controllers; the DDJ-T1 for Traktor users and the DDJ-S1 for the Serato users. These aren't just the same controller re-branded for different software, but rather very different controllers which are individualized in order to suit the two top DJ software applications in the business. A couple of weeks ago, we brought you a video from Pro Audio Star (our premier DJ-Gear partners) showcasing the new Pioneer DDJ-T1 controller with DJ Ayres...This time DJ Ghostdad takes it to the Brooklyn rooftops to show us what the Pioneer Serato Controller DDJ-S1 can do. [Video] Pioneer DDJ-S1 Now With Serato DJ!

The Pioneer DDJ-S1 was released back in 2011 and was designed to work with perfectly Serato Itch. We reviewed the controller and found it to be a great DJ control surface for Serato software DJ's. Now that Serato Itch software has been replaced by Serato DJ with a better layout and new features, the DDJ-S1 owners can now reap the benefits by downloading the new firmware and Free Serato DJ upgrade to get the full use out of their controller. NAMM 2014: Pioneer DDJ-SZ Controller Announced [Video]

The Pioneer DJ Division has just announced it's new Flagship Serato DJ controller called the Pioneer DDJ-SZ. The new Pioneer DDJ-SZ retains many of the features and functions of the widely popular DDJ-SX, while adding more real estate for a bigger and more professional footprint, bigger full "CDJ-sized" jog wheels, Multi-Color Backlit Performance Pads, Dual USB Ports for seamless transitions, a magnetic MAGVEL crossfader, and a full-blown DJM mixer section with Sound Color FX and DVS capability.

Pioneer DDJ-WeGO3 Serato DJ Intro Demo [Video]

Pioneer has just released the third iteration in their entry-level DJ controller called the Pioneer DDJ-WeGO3. Long ago, we reviewed the original DDJ-WeGO and it was a great controller for any new DJ and it had versatility to work with many different software. The DDJ-WeGO3 continues where the original left off with a new sleeker design, stronger construction, and an included iOS lightning cable that also charges the iOS device while in use. Pioneer DDJ-T1 Performance Video

The new Pioneer all-in-one Traktor MIDI controller is now available for purchase at your local Pro Audio store of choice. Our (local) store of choice is the Brooklyn, NY based Pro Audio Star company where you can always find helpful staff and service from the DJ's themselves. A few short weeks ago, they had DJ Ayres roll over to Public Assembly in Brooklyn for a nice 4-minute performance on the Pioneer DDJ-T1 and their cameras were there to catch all the action.
