Earlier this year we brought you a story about the newest DJ controller from Hercules called Air. Now the Hercules Air all-in-one DJ controller has finally showed it's face at the NAMM 2012 show in California. This new controller that uses thin air to create and trigger cue points and loops is definitely something different and innovative that some DJ's may have lots of fun with. For new consumers who choose to purchase the American Audio VMS 4 as their primary controller of choice for their DJ needs should know that the VMS4.1 has been released and is now going to include a new special version of the Traktor DJ software with tighter integration and an overlay faceplate for the advanced controls. There will also be an upgrade offer to go directly to the new Traktor 2.5 Professional so you won't have to pay an arm and a leg for the latest and greatest DJ Software. The new iDJ-Pro for the apple iPad is really starting to gain traction even though its only been announced for a few days! This is yet another reason to get an iPad as the newest venture with Numark has produced a really nice all-in-one system that plugs directly into the DJ controller in order to encase the entire iPad as the centerpiece of the DJ's setup. Gemini is unleashing a couple new controllers for the budget-minded DJ's who may be willing to try the DJ-game for the first time without breaking the bank trying to by expensive equipment. Introducing the new Gemini FirstMix IO and the FirstMix Pro. These two new controllers are more "practical" as DJ's now have a separate headphone output and actual RCA outputs on the FirstMix IO and even more features found on the FirstMix Pro.
