NAMM 2015: Pioneer XDJ-RX [Video]
Many people have speculated that a new all-in-one Pioneer DJ Rekordbox player would eventually show up one day... That day is today as Pioneer DJ has just announced their new All-In-One XDJ-RX Rekordbox DJ system. The new system includes a full seven-inch color display which shows parallel waveforms, cue points, track information, and much more. The Pioneer XDJ-RX is a true two-channel standalone mixer, has two USB slots for multiple music sources, and can also be used as a DJ Controller for Traktor Pro 2.
The Pioneer XDJ-RX does not require any computer connection to DJ with. Users can simply plug in any USB drive and get ready to navigate their files and play the music. The user can also analyze their music in Rekordbox and add cue points, loops, Sound Color FX, Beat FX, and more. This is a true all-in-one DJ system that also acts as a true two-channel standalone mixer which can be used to add vinyl or CD decks for mixing purposes. The XDJ-RX has two RCA Line/Phono inputs, an XLR master output, RCA master output, and TRS Booth output. The XDJ-RX also has two microphone inputs for performances or Mobile DJ use. I also see an RJ-45 Link port that may be used to link other Rekordbox decks like the CDJ or XDJ lineup. There is also a note in the Press Release below that states the XDJ-RX will work with Traktor Pro 2 as a MIDI controller. No word yet on whether or not the screen will work with Traktor, but its still good to have the option to use the XDJ-RX as a control surface for DJ software.
The Pioneer XDJ-RX will be available in March for the suggested retail price of $1799. Check out the full press release below for more information.
