NAMM 2016: Mixars DJ Gear
Mixars... that probably does not sound familiar to you. It probably doesn’t ring any bells because it's a new DJ gear manufacturing company... They made their debut at NAMM this year, and they are bringing out products geared at the battle DJ in the form of the DUO and CUT mixers and the LTA Super-OEM turntable.
The
is a digital battle “budget” mixer that comes ready with Serato. One look at this mixer and probably thinking to yourself, ” Oh man, this kind of looks like a Z2”. You would be somewhat correct in that assessment. Layout wise, it is pretty much the same. Built wise, it is not. This comes with a built-in innofader and a metal construction. The effects section give more flexibility and more control as well. As mentioned this is plug and play with Serato and every control is midi capable.
The
is an analog battle mixer. It comes packed with the bare minimums needed for such, so not much bells and whistles. It seems it will just be something either aimed at someone that is looking to get into battle mixing but not really wanting to spend a lot of cash, or the DJ that is just look gin for a new toy but is not really looking to break the bank.
The LTA is a High Torque Scratch Turntable. It is another Super OEM turntable. Just like most of these tables, they try to emulate the Technics 1200s. This comes with a rubber matte finish and a straight tone arm. It also comes with extra line outputs for that time when you need to daisy chain with other DJs(at least that is what it would seem to be for).
We will be sure to get these new products in the lab for the full out review treatment shortly, but check out their official website for now for more information on these cool new products...
