NAMM 2016: Numark Dashboard
Today at the NAMM 2016 show, Numark DJ has released a brand new triple-screen device called the Dashboard which will allow users to connect it to any Serato DJ setup in order to view most of the valuable information DJ's need such as waveforms, track information, effects, and more. The Dashboard is pretty much like the Numark NS7III Controller screens that are attached to an adjustable stand and can connect to any Serato DJ controller or DVS setup that is out there.
The Numark Dashboard is a really cool innovation and one that I personally can't wait to try out on my own DVS setup with Serato DJ, the Pioneer DJM-S9, and the Stanton ST-150 turntables with DVS vinyl. DJ's can use the middle screen to scan the Serato DJ library or switch the view to show side-by-side horizontal waveforms while the side screens can be used for effects, waveforms, track information, and more. I can definitely see this being useful for anyone who wants to turn their Serato DJ setup into something that doesn't always need a computer screen in plain site for performances. The screens will be available in Q2 2016 for the retail price of $399. We will DEFINITELY get this in the lab for a full out video review as soon as its available, so stay tuned!
