Native Instruments has officially announced their three new MIDI Keyboard controllers for music makers that will work flawlessly in conjunction with all of sounds and instruments in the brand new Komplete 10 software suite. The NI Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards will come in 25-key S25, 49-key S49, and 61-key S61 variants with different sizes and price points to appease different users.
These new Kontrol S keyboards come perfectly mapped for the new Komplete 10 software which will both be released on October 1, 2014. The S keyboards will make it much easier for users to control and play the instruments and sounds within Komplete 10 much easier than ever before. NI has already mapped these controllers to work perfectly with the software to deliver an easy to use end interface similar to the Maschine Studio we reviewed a few months ago.
The S-series has lots of LED lights and indicators to let users know many different parameters at a glance. Users will also get LED feedback above the keys to identify cords, currently playing keys, and other user defined indicators. The S25 will come in at $499, wihle the S49 will be $599, and the S61 will be $699 when they are released next month...
I'm not much of a producer personally, but I'm still up for putting one of these through the paces and look at it from a DJ's point of view to see what we can get out of this device from a novice perspective. Either way, check out the full press release and Kontrol S Series website below for more information.
