NI Introduces UNA CORDA [Video]

Native Instruments has again provided the producers of the world with a new virtual unique piano: UNA CORDA. It is based on a 64-key upright piano. It mentions that unlike standard pianos, who use more than one string per key, this piano is unusual in that it has just one string per key.

There are other features in this special built pianos that makes it truly unique, like the location where it was sampled and recorded to the materials that affect the sound of this instrument, but it can be read on the official press release. Native Instruments has officially announced their three new MIDI Keyboard controllers for music makers that will work flawlessly in conjunction with all of sounds and instruments in the brand new Komplete 10 software suite. The NI Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards will come in 25-key S25, 49-key S49, and 61-key S61 variants with different sizes and price points to appease different users.

Native Instruments has released its' latest collaboration with musician, producer and inventor, Tim Exile. The release is entitled "FLESH" and it allows the user to create production elements like basslines and melodies using rhythmic material. The FLESH utilizes advanced algorithms to transform the source material thru re-synthesis. Like the previous Tim Exile & NI collaborations, "The Finger" & "The Mouth", FLESH is powered by Reaktor.

Native Instruments continues to expand its production and music creation software, KONTAKT with a new horn instruments add-on called Symphony Series BRASS. NI's new Symphony Series BRASS comes in two flavors called the BRASS ENSEMBLE that will give a nice full harmony of horns playing together, and the BRASS SOLO which has singular horn player sounds for music creation. Native Instruments has just announced their new flagship Production hardware, the Maschine Studio, and new software called Maschine 2.0. The new Maschine Studio hardware is even larger than the original and provides best-in-class control with new hi-res color displays, a new edit section with jog wheel, and excellent 16-multi-color backlit pads. The Maschine 2.0 software provides lots of improvements to the user interface and works better and faster on all three Maschine Production devices.

Native Instruments has just announced the new generation of the Maschine that is set to hit store shelves on October 1st. The Maschine MK2 and Maschine Mikro MK2 will now both be available in a black version and a white version. The new Maschine & Mikro versions will also get new pad upgrades which have increased pad sensitivity and multi-colored backlit for better visual feedback. The new Mashine MK2 setups will also get redesigned displays and a new software version 1.8 that is available for free download to current Maschine users as well.
