NI Machine Mikro, iMachine, and the 1.7 Machine Update

Native Instruments has decided to expand on their popular Machine production product with a new compact unit and an iphone/ipad app so people can take their tracks on the go. Introducing the Native Instruments Machine Mikro and iMachine Apple App. The Machine Mikro is a portable version of the Machine which will continue to run on the same KOMPLETE 8 software with nearly the same features. The Machine is also getting a new 1.7 software update which is currently free to download for all current Machine owners. We will work on getting one of these for a full review. The Maschine Mikro will be available in October for $399 while the iMachine App will also be available in the App store around the same timeframe. Check the press release and links below for more information.

Native Instruments has just announced their new flagship Production hardware, the Maschine Studio, and new software called Maschine 2.0. The new Maschine Studio hardware is even larger than the original and provides best-in-class control with new hi-res color displays, a new edit section with jog wheel, and excellent 16-multi-color backlit pads. The Maschine 2.0 software provides lots of improvements to the user interface and works better and faster on all three Maschine Production devices.

Native Instruments has just announced the new generation of the Maschine that is set to hit store shelves on October 1st. The Maschine MK2 and Maschine Mikro MK2 will now both be available in a black version and a white version. The new Maschine & Mikro versions will also get new pad upgrades which have increased pad sensitivity and multi-colored backlit for better visual feedback. The new Mashine MK2 setups will also get redesigned displays and a new software version 1.8 that is available for free download to current Maschine users as well. Late last year, we reviewed the new Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S49 Keyboard and the Komplete Ultimate Software setup which was rather expensive all together, but still provided a superb experience when using them together to craft beats. NI will now offer the Komplete Kontrol Keyboards with a free software download that will give users lots of Komplete sounds and melodies to start crafting beats without needing to purchase additional software. When Native Instruments announced the new Maschine MK2 and the Maschine Mikro MK2 a few weeks ago, they also released a set of cool accessories to make your time with the unit more enjoyable. Native Instruments has announced exciting new updates to it's KOMPLETE KONTROL line and S-Series keyboards. The German based company has added an 88 key version to the S-Series and a brand new Komplete Kontrol Version 1.5 software update that will support third party instruments and mappings.
