Numark NS6 Unboxing/First Impressions Video

Our good friends over at Numark has sent us the long-awaited Numark NS6 Digital DJ Controller for a full video review which will be released shortly. The Numark NS6 controller will be available for purchase worldwide on June 1st 2011. Until then, here is the First Impressions and Unboxing video of the 4-deck controller which is gaining quite a buzz amongst DJ's everywhere. So far, I'm pretty impressed with this DJ Controller... The NS6 has some smooth faders, nice jog wheels, and a plethora of inputs and outputs that will cater to many different DJ's needs. The Numark N4 is a versatile USB MIDI DJ controller that boasts an internal soundcard with the ability to work with DVS timecode vinyl/CD's and it can work with a plethora of different DJ software. The N4 comes bundled with Serato DJ Intro and a special four-deck version of Virtual DJ LE to get DJ's started right out of the box. Numark was gracious enough to send us a Brand new Numark N4 Digital DJ controller so that we could put it through the tests. The Numark 4TRAK Digital DJ controller made for the Traktor Pro DJ software has now been released to the public and you can find them on store shelves woldwide. The Numark 4Trak controller is a four-deck/four-channel professional-grade DJ controller that has an all metal build with the same famous jog wheels, faders, and knobs found on the very popular Numark NS6. Everything is built to last and this is truly a professional controller in every sense of the word. The Numark Orbit DJ controller was announced earlier this year at NAMM 2013 and we've finally got one in the DJbooth.net Lab for a full out review. The Numark Orbit is very small and compact with rubberized performance-style multi-color-backlit pads on each side to control different DJ software functions, a jog wheel in the center, and accelerometers inside for motion sensor style control. DJ's can perform with the Orbit via USB port (connected to a computer which also charges the unit) or wirelessly on the dancefloor with the crowd. Numark has recently announced their newest DJ system called the Mixdeck Quad. This particular mixing system is super-diverse with the ability to play CD's, USB drives, iPad/iPod files, MP3's, and it has full MIDI support. The setup is basically a set of NDX-900 decks fused together with a mixing console in the middle that can all be controlled by a computer via DJ software or an iPad DJ system. Numark has recently sent us a brand new Numark Mixdeck for a full-in-depth-HD-Video review which will be out in about two weeks. For now, watch the unboxing video to see what you get in the box and my initial thoughts on this universal DJ system.

The Numark Mixtrack Quad is the 4-deck version of the newly released (and reviewed) Mixtrack Pro II Digital DJ controller. The Mixtrack Quad comes bundled with Virtual DJ LE and the user gets two additional decks/channels to mix with, multi-colored LED's on the performance pads/jog wheels, and even better construction for added durability. We're currently working on the full HD-Video and written review which will be completed shortly, but be sure to watch the unboxing and first impressions video to see what comes in the box.

The Numark NS6 has been out on the market for almost two years now, but its still one of my favorite controllers to use with Serato. During our HD-Video review, we loved the build quality, tight jog wheels, and excellent fader feel along with the plethora of input and output options that are available to the users. The NS6 now gets a free software upgrade from Serato Itch to the new and improved Serato DJ and DJ CXL is in the Numark Studio to give a quick demo video of the new look and features. The Numark Mixtrack Edge was on display at the 2013 Atlantic City DJ Expo a few months ago where were able to get lots of play time with the new controller and the Numark team was also gracious enough to give us an exclusive walkthrough video to let us know what the Mixtrack Edge is all about.
