A few months ago, Serato announced that they would combine the SSL Digital Vinyl software and their Serato DJ controller software into one neat package known as Serato DJ 1.6. This new official update has finally been released and all users of Rane Serato SSL Hardware including the SL2, SL3, and SL4 soundcards along with the Sixty-One, Sixty-Two, and Sixty-Eight mixers can take advantage of the slick new features that Serato DJ has to offer. The new update is absolutely free to current SSL users or full Serato DJ Software users.
What's New in Serato DJ 1.6
With this release comes compatibility with the newly announced Pioneer DDJ-SZ, the Denon MC6000MKII, and the Reloop Terminal Mix 8 (review brewing...). The 1.6 update comes with the new Rane hardware support, Pitch 'n Time Expansion Pack & Jet Pack Availability, Multi-FX Mode for combining up to six effects at once, Quantize Mode to keep loops and hotcues in sync, Nameable Cue Points, and much more.
