NAMM 2011 - Pioneer DDJ-S1 Introduction Video

Now that Pioneer has announced the DDJ-S1 and DDJ-T1 media controllers at this year's NAMM, they have now posted a nice introduction and feature video to get everyone familiar with their newest offerings. The Serato Itch based controller, the DDJ-S1 is on display which shows many of the features found on the unit along with some real-world application to give DJ's an idea on how to use this beast of a controller. The Pioneer DDJ-S1 was released back in 2011 and was designed to work with perfectly Serato Itch. We reviewed the controller and found it to be a great DJ control surface for Serato software DJ's. Now that Serato Itch software has been replaced by Serato DJ with a better layout and new features, the DDJ-S1 owners can now reap the benefits by downloading the new firmware and Free Serato DJ upgrade to get the full use out of their controller. Pioneer DDJ-SB2 Controller [Video]

Earlier this morning Pioneer DJ has just announced the new DDJ-SB2 entry-level Serato DJ controller. The latest iteration of the original Pioneer DDJ-SB that we reviewed last year includes all the same features with the addition of Gain control knobs, line level meters, the Pad Trans beat effect, and four-deck control. NAMM 2011 is upon us and so is all the cool gear that gets introduced when a new show is in play. Pioneer hasn't wasted any time dropping the first really big bomb of the show. Introducing the Pioneer Media Controllers; the DDJ-T1 for Traktor users and the DDJ-S1 for the Serato users.
