Now that Pioneer DJ has started making the recently reviewed PLX-1000 turntables to play vinyl, it almost seems like the DJ equipment and culture has come full circle. The new Pioneer DDJ-SZ flagship DJ controller is now Virtual DJ compatible... We recently reviewed the Pioneer DDJ-SZ using Serato DJ and had great results. The DDJ-SZ will now ship with a full version copy of Virtual DJ and the full Serato DJ software so that DJ's can choose exactly how they want to use the super sized device. Virtual DJ has just released a new video performance to show what its powerful software can do with a powerful controller.

The new Pioneer S-DJ X lineup of monitor speakers were scattered all around the Pioneer DJ Booth at the 2013 Atlantic City DJ Expo and I was lucky enough to get a full video walk-through of the new speakers directly from the Pioneer staffers. The new affordable S-DJ X monitors come in 5-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch configurations and they sound nice and crisp in person.

Today, the Pioneer DJ group has announced the new S-DJ X monitor lineup that is affordable and squarely aimed at DJ's who want good performance speakers in a small form factor. The Pioneer S-DJ X range comes in either the five-inch (S-DJ50X), the six-inch (S-DJ60X), or the eight-inch (S-DJ80X) woofer configurations and have an auto on/off mode to save on power when not in use.

This new Turntable by has most of the original layout of the iconic Technics 1200's that DJ's are familiar with along with some Super-OEM DNA and other minor improvements and adjustments to set it apart from the rest of the pack. The PLX-1000 also has the familiar Pioneer CDJ looks with the beautiful brushed black finish and silver/nickel accents.
