Earlier this morning Pioneer DJ has finally announced it's Rekordbox DJ turntable and CDJ two channel USB soundcard called the Pioneer DJ Interface 2. This new device is a Digital Vinyl Interface that allows DJ's with any mixer to use Rekordbox DJ DVS with vinyl or CD timecode.

Earlier this morning Pioneer DJ has finally announced it's Rekordbox DJ turntable and CDJ two channel USB soundcard called the Pioneer DJ Interface 2. This new device is a Digital Vinyl Interface that allows DJ's with any mixer to use Rekordbox DJ DVS with vinyl or CD timecode. I knew this was definitely going to come out sooner or later if Pioneer DJ wanted the Rekordbox software to be accessible to all types of users. Now DJ's don't have to shell out massive amounts of money to get a Rekordbox DJ DVS-ready mixer in order to play. The Pioneer DJ Interface 2 will be available shortly for the cost of only $300 in the US. The package will also come bundled with the full Rekordbox DJ software, Rekordbox DVS, two Rekordbox vinyl, and there is also a link to burn a CD or wave file for a USB stick for CD Decks. Earlier this morning Pioneer DJ has released a very quick teaser video of what looks to be like their new Rekordbox software with a lot more features. Specifically, it looks like the Rekordbox software that currently handles track preparation and library management for CDJ/DJM users will now be able to work in real time with new DJ controllers and perhaps even DVS timecode vinyl setups. The new Pioneer DJM-250MK2 mixer takes on a similar compact footprint as the original we reviewed years ago with a newer Magvel Crossfader, Color FX Filter knobs, and a built in DVS Rekordbox ready soundcard. This mixer also comes packed with the full featured Rekordbox DJ software. The Rekordbox DVS license is also included in the box so that users can connect DJ turntables or CDJ's for use with timecode vinyl or CD's.

In our bid to find alternative Digital Vinyl DJ systems bearing different names other than the industry standard Traktor and Serato, we found another gem called the Mixvibes Cross Pack DVS solution. A few weeks ago, Pioneer DJ announced the availability of its new rekordbox DJ music management app for iPhone and iPod touch. The rekordbox App enables users to prepare and manage music stored on their portable devices as well as create playlists, cue/loop point and beat location settings, perform waveform analysis, and more. The recently announced XDJ-AERO system works with the new app and enables the iPhone or iPod touch to become a main source for music content. Pioneer DJ has just announced a new Serato DJ 1.5.0 version of its existing DJM-900nexus Mixer called the DJM-900SRT. The new Pioneer DJM-900SRT will still retain all of the cool features of the 900nexus but with an internal Serato DJ Soundcard that is capable of Digital Vinyl Playback of up to four CD or vinyl timecode decks within the full new Serato DJ 1.5.0 software now with DVS control

Pioneer DJ's Rekordbox music management software has just received a new update that adds even more functionality than ever before. The new Rekordbox 3.0 software allows users to Tag their music and identify tracks that mix well with other tracks for future use. There's also a new preview function that allows DJ's to listen to a mix beforehand and an all new playlist view that allows users to edit and display up to five playlists at a time.

Early this morning Pioneer DJ hit the industry with some serious news. First, the new Rekordbox 4.0 software was revealed as a fully-fledged DJ software that will work with all Pioneer current DJ controllers and players and will soon include upgrade paths for Video plug-ins and DVS plug-ins for vinyl and CD timecode users. Next, the Pioneer team announced two brand new controllers that will work with the new Rekordbox 4.0 software called the Pioneer DDJ-RZ and DDJ-RX.
