Pioneer has been taking us all on a trip down memory lane as they continue to release the history of the DJ and the role that particular Pioneer DJ equipment has played in it. Year in and Year out, Pioneer DJ has the biggest and best exhibit in all of the DJ Expo Land. This year, Pioneer has pulled out all the stops and even managed to give us some last-minute announcements that had me scrambling less than a week before the start of the show. Excellent marketing by Pioneer as everyone and their mother was seen at the Pioneer DJ Booth to try out the new DDJ-ERGO-Limited and the new XDJ-AERO which were all on display and ready for all DJ's to give them a try. Every year, Pioneer DJ has the biggest and best exhibit in all of the DJ Expo Land. This year, Pioneer has its entire new lineup of controllers, CDJ's, mixers, and speakers on-had for everyone to use and purchase. The new DJM-750 four-channel mixer was on display with a set of CDJ-850's. The platinum limited edition Nexus setup also made an appearance. The XDJ-R1, DDJ-SX, and S-DJ X speaker lineup were all setup and ready to go and we have an exclusive S-DJ X speaker walkthrough coming shortly.

Earlier this morning Pioneer DJ has released a very quick teaser video of what looks to be like their new Rekordbox software with a lot more features. Specifically, it looks like the Rekordbox software that currently handles track preparation and library management for CDJ/DJM users will now be able to work in real time with new DJ controllers and perhaps even DVS timecode vinyl setups. The new Pioneer PLX-1000 analog turntables are on hand at the Atlantic City DJ Expo and we have Pioneer DJ's own DJ Flip to give us an exclusive walkthrough to let us know what they are all about. This new Turntable by has most of the original layout of the iconic Technics 1200's that DJ's are familiar with along with some Super-OEM DNA and other minor improvements and adjustments to set it apart from the rest of the pack. The PLX-1000 also has the familiar Pioneer CDJ looks with the beautiful brushed black finish and silver/nickel accents.

Pioneer DJ has just released the brand new two-channel scratch/battle DJ Mixer that works in perfect harmony with Serato DJ and has all of the Pioneer FX that DJ's have come to love. The new Pioneer DJM-S9 Serato DJ Mixer sports eight RGB backlit pads for each channel, dual USB ports for easy DJ switch-overs, and a new Magvel Pro scratch crossfader that has many unique adjustments and features for todays scratch DJ's. The Pioneer DJ team has released a quick performance video which shows Mr. Switch (DMC World Champ) getting busy on the DJM-S9 and a set of PLX-1000 Turntables.
