Pioneer Rekordbox Full DJ Software [Video]

Earlier this morning Pioneer DJ has released a very quick teaser video of what looks to be like their new Rekordbox software with a lot more features. Specifically, it looks like the Rekordbox software that currently handles track preparation and library management for CDJ/DJM users will now be able to work in real time with new DJ controllers and perhaps even DVS timecode vinyl setups. Earlier this morning Pioneer DJ has released a very quick teaser video of what looks to be like their new Rekordbox software with a lot more features. Specifically, it looks like the Rekordbox software that currently handles track preparation and library management for CDJ/DJM users will now be able to work in real time with new DJ controllers and perhaps even DVS timecode vinyl setups. Many people are speculating that the Pioneer team will create all new controllers for this software, but I wish to argue as to why they won't be able to release firmware updates to allow their current controllers to also work with Rekordbox in this newer form. That way they can take advantage of their current lineup and keep current controller users happy with what they already have. We'll see how that goes...

Either way, this is sure to break into the Serato/Traktor/VDJ dominated market in a BIG way as now DJ's can see a clear path from their digital controller setup to one day working in the bigger club setups that are essentially using the same software that they've always known. Every year, Pioneer DJ has the biggest and best exhibit in all of the DJ Expo Land. This year, Pioneer has its entire new lineup of controllers, CDJ's, mixers, and speakers on-had for everyone to use and purchase. The new DJM-750 four-channel mixer was on display with a set of CDJ-850's. The platinum limited edition Nexus setup also made an appearance. The XDJ-R1, DDJ-SX, and S-DJ X speaker lineup were all setup and ready to go and we have an exclusive S-DJ X speaker walkthrough coming shortly.

Pioneer DJ Booth - 2011 Atlantic City DJ Expo Video Coverage

Check out the official DJbooth.net Video Coverage of the Pioneer DJ Booth at the 2011 Atlantic City DJ Expo at the Trump Taj Mahal. On-hand were the entire line of CDJ media players, DJM mixers, and their new Monitor Speaker Setups. There were a bunch of kiosks for people to choose from with a nice variety of gear combinations. The DJM-T1 Traktor Mixer was one of the most popular pieces while the DJM-2000 mixer and the all-white 350 system were visually stunning at the Pioneer DJ Booth. DJ Pulse was also on-hand to throw it down on the decks while we scoured the show floor. Full Video Inside.

[Video] Pioneer DJ Releases Rekordbox App

A few weeks ago, Pioneer DJ announced the availability of its new rekordbox DJ music management app for iPhone and iPod touch. The rekordbox App enables users to prepare and manage music stored on their portable devices as well as create playlists, cue/loop point and beat location settings, perform waveform analysis, and more. The recently announced XDJ-AERO system works with the new app and enables the iPhone or iPod touch to become a main source for music content.
