In today's day and age, buying DJ equipment online can be as trustworthy and reliable as that $1,000,000 you just won off a pop-up ad. It is for that reason that we here at
have a strong appreciation for our friends over at
American Musical Supply
and the quality service they provide to not only our readers, but our staff as well. Over the past few weeks, we have teamed up with them to talk with five of the hottest DJs in music today to see what kind of equipment they are rocking.
Our fourth partnered DJ is the one and only,
DJ Charlie White
! In the past few years, Charlie White has performed at many of the top festivals and industry events across the country. Some of these shows include The Late Show with David Letterman, Sway In The Morning, MTV Spring Break, SXSW, Lollapalooza, Justin Timberlake and Friends Concert in Las Vegas, as well as the Bacardi B-Live Tour opening for Q-Tip and Big Sean’s “What U Doin” Tour. He has performed at star studded events such as the Winter X-Games as well as the Sundance Film Festival. While performing with FreeSol, Charlie White opened up for acts such as Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, P. Diddy, T-Pain, and Big Boi.
In 2012, Charlie White was invited to participate in the Red Bull Thre3style DJ Battle in Charlotte, in which he earned 2nd place. He also earned 2nd place in the Thre3style in 2013 after being invited back to Charlotte for a consecutive year in a row. At the end of 2012, he was a finalist in the McDonald’s DJ Flavor Battle, finishing with the Sprite Spin Off competition.
Like many notable DJs, it wasn’t long before Charlie White began to craft his production style. In 2013, he released "Let Go", which was featured as DJBooth.net/Pepsi's "Mixtape Of The Month" and you can check out what kind of gear he is rocking right here at the booth!
